The Department of Emergency Medicine Training Center is seeking experienced & motivated American Heart Association Instructors. Our center trains several thousand people each year in CPR, ACLS, and PALS locally and internationally. Teaching opportunities are typically on weekends & instructors are expected to teach at least four courses annually for our center. Interested instructors should email or fax their credentials, certifications, and a resume to the training center. We will contact instructors to schedule an orientation and brief interview. Instructors will be monitored teaching prior to being contracted for courses. International opportunities will be reserved for instructors demonstrating high quality training and continual support for our local training initiatives.
The Department of Emergency Medicine of The George Washington University is seeking physicians for our academic practice. Physicians are employed by the Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic practice group affiliated with The George Washington University. The medical group provides staffing for the Emergency Units of George Washington University Hospital, Prince George's Hospital Center and the National Naval Medical Center, and manages a number of consulting practices. The Department sponsors an Emergency Medicine Residency, a wide variety of student programs, several postgraduate fellowships, and an active clinical research effort.
The Department of Emergency Medicine at The George Washington University is inviting applications for Fellowship positions beginning in the Summer of 2008. The Department offers Fellows a common interdisciplinary curriculum focusing on research methodologies and grant writing. Tuition support for an MPH or equivalent degree is also provided.
Fellows receive an academic appointment at George Washington University School of Medicine and work clinically at a site staffed by the Department. Before entering the Fellowship, an applicant must have completed an accredited residency training program in Emergency Medicine and be eligible for state licensure.
