GW OnSite should serve as the primary point of contact for all your medical needs. When you or a guest calls our 24 hour access number, they will speak to the on-call doctor immediately. Our GW doctor will gather some brief information to assist him/her in deciding how GW OnSite can assist you, your guest, or the Hotel. We can see the guest at your hotel, assist them in accessing the GW Emergency Department, or refer them to the appropriate specialist. GW OnSite can also assist in hotel outbreak situations, with CPR/First Aid Training, and with staffing medical personnel at meetings and events.
Scenario 1: The guest is seen at your hotel
The GW OnSite doctor arrives at the hotel at a time convenient for the guest. The guest will receive the medical care and prescriptions they need in the comfort of their own room.
Scenario 2: The guest must go to the E.R.
If the guest must go to the ER, the on-call doctor will call the GW Emergency Room to notify the attending physician. The doctor will also enter the information collected over the phone into the computerized medical record at GW Emergency Room before the guest even leaves the hotel. This heads-up will ensure that when the guest does arrive at the GW ER, they will be seen expediently.
Scenario 3: A guest requests to see a specialist, like an ophthalmologist or dermatologist.
GW OnSite will assist in arranging a timely appointment with one of our world renown 13 specialty clinics all located on the GW Campus and across the street from the GW Hospital.
