EM Resident Wins Best Presentation

Congratulations to GW residents and faculty who presented at the Regional SAEM 2008 in Hershey, PA.  EM Resident Elizabeth  Schoenfeld won the Regional SAEM award for best presentation in the diagnostic imaging category!  Her presentation was titled "Ultrasound guided peripheral IV placement can be safely and successfully performed by ED technicians for patients with difficult IV access."

  • Derrick Lung -  Infection control for influenza: need for improved use of droplet precautions
  • Annette Dorfman -  Assessing the feasibility of online learning in medicine : student and faculty presentations.
  • Hamid Shokoohi - The learning curve and proficiency attainment of preclinical medical students in FAST   ultrasound                            examination: a prospective study
                                    - Validation of a new external landmark on visualization of target organs during the FAST ultrasound exam
